846 Camp St. is a quaint building located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, and one that I walk past on a daily basis. I'm generally intrigued by the design and uniqueness of fire stairs you see all over the french quarter of NOLA and this particular fire escape caught my eye because it is seemingly useless. Merely aesthetic. I find myself wondering what purpose the ladder ever served, if any. Lucky for me, the sun strikes this beauty at just the right angle around lunch time every day, and this painting is a depiction of a photograph I captured on a stroll to get lunch one day.
